Benefits of the Nice VOLO S-Radio sensor

It is the climate “watchman” that provides absolute peace of mind, preventing carelessness or a sudden change in weather from ruining your investment.

• Proactive wind safety, its most critical function. If the wind exceeds the safety threshold (adjustable), the sensor sends a priority signal via radio to pick up the awning immediately, protecting the arms and tarpaulin from catastrophic breakage.
• Energy saving and comfort (Sun Sensor), when it detects that the light intensity increases, it unfolds the awning automatically. This keeps the façade cool, reduces the interior temperature of the house and protects your furniture from wear and tear by UV rays.
• Simplified installation via radio, by communicating wirelessly with Nice motors, you don’t need to run complex data cables between the sensor and the motor. It only requires power supply (230V) and wireless setup is done in just a few steps.
• Fully customizable thresholds, allows you to adjust sensitivity levels through comfortable internal trimmers , adapting perfectly to the specific conditions of your area (constant light winds or sudden gusts).

Recommended uses for this climate sensor

It is the ideal solution to automate the façade and not worry about the daily weather, both in private homes and businesses.

• Articulated awnings in attics and terraces, where drafts are more unpredictable and strong. The Volo S-Radio acts as a structural life insurance that works even if you are not at home.
• Hospitality establishments, allows the terraces of bars and restaurants to be self-managed, protecting outdoor furniture and customers without staff having to be aware of removing or collecting the awnings manually.
• Homes with large windows, coordinating several awnings or solar screens so that they react in unison to the presence of the sun, keeping the house naturally air-conditioned.
• Areas with variable microclimates, where a sunny morning can turn into a stormy afternoon in a matter of minutes.

Shipping Information and Contents

You will receive professional weather measurement equipment with the quality guarantee of Nice Italia. The order includes the Nice VOLO S-Radio sensor (with integrated anemometer and sun sensor), its adjustable wall or ceiling mounting bracket and the official instruction and programming manual.

⚠️ Vital compatibility technical note: This sensor uses Nice’s 433.92 MHz radio frequency technology. It is strictly compatible ONLY with Nice motors that have an integrated radio receiver or with Nice control panels that support climate sensors. For proper operation, the sensor must receive constant power at 230V. Also, remember that the awning’s remote control must be able to activate/deactivate the solar function so that the awning does not open only in winter if you do not want to.
